Survey Project

The survey project group was responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive survey aimed at gauging community members' perspectives on areas needing safety improvements. This involved establishing the survey framework, conducting data collection through observations and interviews, and analyzing the gathered feedback to inform future safety initiatives within the community.

Data Collection Group

The Data Collection Group undertook the initial steps in establishing a survey project aimed at gathering community feedback regarding areas for potential safety enhancements within the community. Subsequently, the project progressed to the active phase of data collection, involving on-site observations and interviews.

Survey Area

Through observation, it became evident that the intersection of Imperial and Evans St. emerged as the focal point. The group identified this location as a critical infrastructural concern within the Logan Heights area, labeled as an Accident-Prone Intersection. Consequently, the group actively engaged in the final phase of the project, which entailed formulating a proposed solution.

Solution

Based on the data the team had observed, the proposed solution entailed incorporating a four-way intersection equipped with prominent and clearly marked stop signs to enhance safety. This solution was depicted in a detailed sketch model and shared with the local community.
